Christian charity organizations?

by admin on Feb.19, 2009, under Charities in Kenya

Does anyone know any Christian organizations that deal with education in other countries? (ex. Afghanistan, Kenya, India, etc.)

If you mean building schools, etc, Joyce Meyers does
build schools and hospitals with donations, I have seen
this on tv. Its good to know someone actually does
the right thing with money they receive.

Who is the most charitable WTA players?

by admin on Feb.15, 2009, under Charities in Kenya

I think Serena Williams, Nadia Petrova & Huber. Serena is building a school in Kenya for the needy poor African girls & gives money to charity. Petrova is involved in building homes for the homeless & the elderly in Eastern Europe. Huber is helping the rebuild effort to hurricane Catrina victims.

Hands Down SERENA WILLIAMS & Im not saying this becoz She is my favorite,bt She is a real helpfull person & always there 4 the needy.

She already supported CAUSES like Children, Education, Family/Parent Support, Health, Homelessness, Physical Challenges, Women.

She already supported several CHARITY work which includes…
Build African Schools
Hearts of Gold
The HollyRod Foundation
World Education

Other than that She had done several events 2 help the needy like….

#2004 McDonald's Williams Sisters Tour has raised over $400,000 for Charity.

#Recently(2008) Williams Sisters took part in the annual Luczo Dragon charity Drive.

#She participated with Andy Roddick in Rock N' Racquet For Children.

#She had her own charity foundation SERENA WILLIAMS FOUNDATION.

#She hugely support UNESCO.

#She recently completed her charity work in Africa by Building Primary school in Kenya & helping the needy african children.

*Im sure there are many other players who supports many charity bt undoubtedly Serena is the 1 according 2 me who help the most among all*

Want to Start a Charity ?

by admin on Feb.12, 2009, under Charities in Kenya

i Really want to help underprivelaged Kids in Africa, i already volunteer to help orphans and handicapped people and i've been to kenya and madagascar and helped meny kids but i always wanted to do more, i want to help kids with dental Problems, it's hard to live with bad teeth that'll help them alot! and anorexia as well ! i feel they are both linked in some kind of way children with bad teeth won't be able to eat, so i want to help anorexic children and children with dental problems, i really want to start a charity but i have no idea how to do that please help ? Btw i'm 16

That's fabulous that you want to help others - especially at only 16 years old! The world needs more people like you!!

I'm in the process of starting a charity to help Africans right now and I can tell you, it's quite involved. You need to get a board of people together and fill out lots of paperwork. In Canada it means establishing as a nonprofit society first, then getting charitable status from Canada Revenue Agency (which means you can then issue tax receipts for donations). Here you need at least 3 people and they have to be 18 years of age or older - sorry.

I assume it's similar wherever you may live in the world.

I suggest that you join an established organization so you can learn more about international development and nonprofit work, then when you're older you can set up a charity.

Free the Children has chapters around the world and have partnered with Oprah - which she calls "O Ambassadors".
Here are their websites with details:
